At a distance of 40 km from Kluczbork there is the capital of Polish song – the city of OPOLE.

Opole is known not only from the fact that since 1963 the National Polish Song Festival has been held there, but also from numerous monuments. The most important of them is the Piast Tower, restored and made available to visitors. There are as well other monuments certainly worth seeing: the town hall, the cathedral church of the Holy Cross, the railway station, the church of Saint Alexis, the Old Synagogue, the church of the Holy Trinity and the remains of the city walls on the Oder. It is also worth to walk along the Oder promenade, visit the amphitheatre, where since 1963 has been held the National Polish Song Festival, the Opole’s “Venice”, as well as the Market Square and the Opole bridges.
